CM1 Pet

Dog, fish, or horse, pets take resources to raise, and that comes with a carbon footprint. The pet model estimates the lifecycle carbon impact of producing a pet's food and veterinary care. Built on a foundation of environmental, economic, and animal nutrition data from the pet food industry and the US government, this tool uses the info you feed it about an animal's species, breed, gender, size, and diet to model its carbon impact. The current version of this model supports 18 animal species spanning the reptile, bird, rodent, fish, carnivore, and ungulate taxa.

You can use a working application of this model inside our personal carbon profiler. Claus Freight also uses Pet.
